Room-by-Room Heating & Cooling

Ductless heating and cooling sized for the rooms that need it.

A mini-split can solve comfort problems where extending ductwork is impractical, but the equipment still needs a room-by-room load review, sensible indoor-head placement, a serviceable outdoor location, and a clean route for refrigerant lines, power, and condensate.

What This HVAC Service Includes

Single and multi-zone planning
Cold-climate model selection
Line-set and drain routing
Electrical and outdoor-unit coordination

Choose zones from the way the home behaves

Finished attics, additions, sunrooms, upper floors, garages, and older homes without ducts can be good candidates. We review room use, insulation, windows, exposure, existing heat, doors between spaces, and the temperatures occupants expect. An open floor may be served differently from several closed bedrooms, even when the square footage looks similar.

Placement affects comfort and service access

Indoor heads need clear airflow and a drain route that will not create water problems. Outdoor units need stable mounting, snow clearance, drainage, airflow, and access for maintenance. Line covers, wall penetrations, electrical supply, and condensate are planned before installation so the finished route is deliberate instead of improvised around the equipment.

Cold-climate performance belongs in the design

A model’s heating output changes as outdoor temperature drops. We review rated low-temperature capacity, controls, defrost behaviour, and whether the home needs existing or new backup heat. The goal is a system designed around the building and Toronto winter conditions, not a promise based only on the nameplate capacity.

Diagnose

We confirm symptoms, system type, thermostat behavior, airflow, equipment condition, and urgency before recommending next steps.

Plan

Repair, replacement, controls, ductwork, ventilation, and comfort issues are scoped clearly before work starts.

Service

Heating and cooling work is completed with safety, access, setup, and system operation in mind.

Confirm

We review operation, explain findings, and outline maintenance or replacement considerations when relevant.
